Although July is the time for many summer vacations, the Lachine Canal takes off continues to operate along the canal since it is never on vacation! Instead, it is the summer that the greatest amount of waste pile up in the channel and along its banks.
So we invite you to join our group at our next event shoreline cleanup coming Saturday, July 24 from 9am to 12pm. We will focus our efforts on the eastern end of the Lachine Canal, is on the south bank between Lock St. Gabriel and the Peel Basin. This stretch is particularly affected by the accumulation of waste due to its accessibility to park users as well as its downstream position, where all waste is successful, over the waters.
The meeting point is: Saint-Gabriel Lock (more precisely, at the intersection of the bike path and the Rue Des Seigneurs, near Canal Street) at 9:00
ages are welcome and everyone's help is appreciated, even if you can come for an hour! If you come, if you please confirm this by email or telephone so that we can provide the necessary equipment.
To those who will benefit from weeks of construction to leave Montreal, we wish you great adventures!
